Heat pumps are Boiler Upgrade Scheme grants paid from 23 May 2022 to 30 June 2026 (DESNZ Boiler Upgrade Scheme statistics, August 2026, Tables Q1.2 and A1.7), counting air and ground source heat pumps. Heat pumps installed without the grant, such as in most new build and social homes, are not counted. Households are the Census 2021 count for Buckinghamshire: 220,328.
